Second Life Travels - Maison de L'amitie in High Tone Photography

Clouds interact with an autumnal mountain landscape at charming Maison de L'amitiĆ©.  The reflections of bright foliage and gathering rain clouds in crystalline alpine lake water is bracing to the senses. This is a particularly photogenic destination and highly recommended for tourists and photographers alike.

Second Life Travels: Ryce at the Fall Trace

The Fall Trace has been primarily designed by Elvira Kytori. Elvira, has assumed ownership of the Trace sims from Kyle Jaxxon. A detailed explanation of the new relationship between these two great designers, and plans for the new Winter Trace which will be primarily designed by Kylie and open this December  is available on a note card that is offered upon arrival at either the Summer or Fall Trace.

Second Life Travels: Foggy Swamp in Copperplate Photography

Foggy Swamp is an overwhelming destination to visit for Halloween Season, one of the highlights of the annual Second Life calendar. It does not appear that any normal soul has actually resided at Foggy Swamp is quite some time. There are some quaint touches such as the display of large pumpkins next to a tombstone at the arrival area, and an apothecary area inside the large house with moving drawers and other objects that can literally make your skin crawl. Every turn and corner of this special region on Neva River estates is highly recommended and should be visited by anyone who appreciated good virtual design.

Second Life Travels: It All Starts With A Smile in Selenium Tone Photography

The classic Second Life destination It All Starts With a Smile does a very good job showing how attractive the "brown season" can look with muted and subtle earth tone colors. Dark, brooding skies are already set as the programmed Windlight Sky Setting- and which I use for my photography. This is a particularly beautiful destination and one that I highly recommend you visit.

Second Life Travels: Countryside in Silverplate Photography

Countryside at Habitat Springs is a working agricultural region with grain silos, a serious looking brood of cattle, and rows of sunflowers and pumpkins for harvesting.  Autumn have arrived here; a quaint farm stand welcomes city tourists who want a touch of country cider and fresh air on a weekend outing. Perhaps it is the seriousness of Countryside which adds to its charm - particularly in the abandoned trucks and cabs, which just so happen to full of romantic poses for the discerning Second Life photographer. This is a fun destination full of great photographic opportunities. I highly recommend a visit.

Your taxi:

Photographic  Information:

All photography was taken using  Annan Adored Morning Dream. I then applied a silverplate photography effect using Google's free Nik Collection Silver Efex Pro software which you can can find out more about in an article I ran in Eddi Haskell's blog on June 24:

Second Life Travels: Shiki Village in Sepia Photography

Shiki Village, a residential sim open to respectful visitors, is a real delight to visit. There are delightful surprises at every turn, including the monkey-populated spring baths full of candle-lit pumpkins celebrating the fall season. The bamboo pathways, although evergreen, served as a good contract to the brilliant warm colors which now celebrate the autumn season. I highly recommend a visit to this delightful destination.

Your Taxi:

You can see my full review and some alternative color photography from autuun 2016 from this destination here:

http://www.eddihaskell.com/2016/10/great-second-life-destinations-japans.html

Photographic Information:

I used Windlight Sky Setting (SS) Atmospheric 14:00 Cloudy to get a clouded and shadowed lighting lighting effect.  This advanced environmental effect comes standard in Firestorm and some other viewers.

I then applied a sepia photography effect using Google's free Nik Collection Silver Efex Pro software which you can can find out more about in an article I ran in Eddi Haskell's blog on June 24:
